Position: The SuperBank-Genesis Investment Analyst

ASEAN Internship Programme (AIP)

PT Super Bank Indonesia (SuperBank) and Genesis Alternative Ventures (Genesis) are excited to offer a unique 6-month Investment Analyst Internship Program that provides an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring investment and banking students. This program is designed to give interns a comprehensive experience in both banking and venture capital by working with two leading Southeast Asia organisations in the industry. Interns will spend the first three months at Genesis Alternative Ventures, a premier Southeast Asia venture debt firm, followed by another three months at Superbank, a digitally native bank in Indonesia backed by Grab and Singtel.

Synergetic Venture Lending Partnership

SuperBank and Genesis jointly launched a venture debt financing solution in August 2023, with both entities committing up to IDR 600 billion to back innovative Indonesian startups. Venture debt is an essential funding option for startups across ASEAN. It provides a crucial alternative to equity financing, allowing startups to access capital without diluting ownership. This form of financing is particularly valuable in the fast-paced startup ecosystem of Southeast Asia, where maintaining control and maximizing growth potential are key priorities for founders.

The joint financing solution combines the principles of conventional bank credit and venture capital investing to target Indonesian technology startups while extending working capital to technology startups with minimum dilution of shareholder equity. This collaboration between Superbank and Genesis underscores the determination of both entities to empower startups in Indonesia, particularly those at the Series B or C stage, to realize their full potential

Why Join Us?

Genesis is a leading venture debt firm managing more than US$200 million AUM and known for its immersive internship program. SuperBank is a rapidly growing digitally native bank backed by Grab, Singtel, Emtek and KakaoBank to expand financial access to underbanked individuals and businesses in Indonesia. As an intern, you can build your skills through your contribution to innovative solutions, learn more about the digital banking industry, and feel the best learning journey in real life work experience.
